Positive effects of Molina and Alto Tajo Geopark application for the territory

With the submission of the application for member of the European Geoparks Network, the competent authorities in charge for the management of natural and cultural heritage of Molina and Alto Tajo, have become aware of the value of geology as a resource for sustainable development. The possibility of become member of this network has provided an important impulse to the work of enhancement of this heritage, started ten years before by the Museum of Molina and the Alto Tajo Natural Park, improving the coordination of competent administration bodies in environment, tourism and scientific research areas in this territory.
