Three generations of Dal Piaz geologists over the last century, contributed to the knowledge of the Alps in paleontology, stratigraphy, structural geology, geomorphology and applied geology. They formed new generations of alpine geologists and contributed to maintain the prominent role of Padova University in the world for the alpine geology.
